Dr. Allavie s interest in eye diseases and surgery has led him to specialize in cataract removal by small incision. The innovations that Dr. Allavie and the medical staff at Riverside Eye Specialists utilize follow a tradition of nearly 100 years of quality eye care in the Inland Empire.
Born into a military family, Dr. Allavie was raised on Air Force bases across the country. After settline in Southern California he attended USC as a college undergraduate (earning the Phi Beta Kappa key) and UCLA for Medical School, where he graduated in the top 15% of his class. He completed his Internship and Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Moving to Riverside (his wife s hometown) in 1982, he joined the practice of Miller Mullen M.D.s, a practice with a history in the community since 1902. He joined the staff of Riverside Community Hospital and subsequently served on the Executive Committee formany years.
Dr. Allavie returned to UCLA to receive training and certification on the Excimer Laser and to become a laser vision correction specialist, as well as using specialized lasers to treat diabetes and glaucoma.
As a Past President of the Tri-County Eye Society, Dr. Allavie has kept abreast of the ongoing issues throughout the county. Currently, he is on the Board of Riverside Physicians Network. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Ophthalmology, and belongs to numerous medical organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Allavie resides in Riverside with his wife, Kathy, a community activist, and their three daughters, Erin, Kellyn and Jaclyn.
Ray R. Glendrange, M.D.

Riverside Eye Specialists has offered full service Ophthalmology in the Inland Empire since the turn of the twentieth century and continues to do so in the twenty first. Since the advent of the Excimer Laser, Dr. Glendrange and the team at Riverside Eye Specialist have positioned themselves to offer and provide the best possible treatments for those with refractive errors.
A native of Southern California, Dr. Glendrange performed his undergraduate studies at Loma Linda University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry and graduating with Highest Honors. He then attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he earned his MD degree. He completed his Ophthalmology Internship and Residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Attending Medical School on a US Naval Military scholarship, Dr. Glendrange then spent 3 years as a Naval Medical Officer at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He then returned to Southern California for good in 1993, and joined Riverside Eye Specialists.
Dr. Glendrange has been performing laser microsurgery of the eye throughout his Ophthalmology career. He gained his Refractive Laser certification and training at UCLA when the Excimer Laser first became FDA approved. Dr. Glendrange has been correcting refractive errors with the Laser ever since, and performed the first LASIK in Riverside. He also uses the latest laser technology to treat diabetic eye disease and glaucoma as well as microscopic clear cornea cataract surgery.
Dr. Glendrange has numerous professional associations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is a former President of the Tri-County Society of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Glendrange lives in Riverside with his wife Jenny and their three boys, Tyler, Jordan and Westley.
Nicole Ha, O.D.
In 2001, Dr. Nicole Ha took a unique challenge by joining us at the Riverside Eye Specialists Medical Group. She practices Optometry with enthusiasm, putting her patients needs as her priority. Dr. Ha is dedicated to utmost excellence in vision care.
After graduating here locally from Cal State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, she continued her studies at the Southern California College of Optometry where she received her degree in Doctor of Optometry. It was during her training at the Center of Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, California that Dr. Ha took an interest in low vision and contact lenses. She continued to pursue this field of vision care at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Brentwood, California. She obtained comprehensive skills and today expertly fits patients for contact lenses after refractive surgery and for those patients with keratoconus.
With Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) certification from the state of California, Dr. Ha is able to practice a full scope of Optometry integrating with Ophthalmology. Dr. Ha has become part of the team of specialists and is committed to provide her expertise in basic eye health, refractive needs and specialized contact lens fittings to our patients. She takes pleasure from working with young children; and she is also able to provide diverse patient care by her fluency in Spanish and Vietnamese.
Dr. Ha is determined to stay on the leading edge of Optometric development. She remains actively involved with numerous vision care associations such as the American Optometric Association and Low Vision Section and the California Optometric Assocation.
